New Jersey State Park Police and the Trenton Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team were called to a part of the canal in Lawrence Township to recover the body, according to Caryn Shinske, a spokeswoman with the state Department of Environmental Protection.
A medical examiner was en route to the scene at 2:15 p.m., she said.
